 An ordinary shot of my coffee machine and some other stuff sitting on the counter in my kitchen.
Pretty boring actually.

Imported the same raw file at different exposures and gave it the HDR/tone mapping treatment.
Sharpened and desaturated a bit, resized and saved for web.

We really must quit meeting like this - when I order results by my vote, yours is always way up near the top. I quite love this shot - the textures, light, and muted colors all seem to work together quite nicely. Lovely quiet piece.

I find this very interesting for a rather ordinary subject. I guess it's the tones and light which makes this so interesting. Very nice! I'm curious, this looks like it was achieved by painting with light.

good lighting, though the reflection on one of the bottles is a little distracting, only a minor point though.

Great job with this still life. Before I saw the title I knew it was a still life. I love the lighting and the texture of the wall or backdrop behind the kitchen items. (9)

I had to stop and look at this shot for a while...the more I look, the more I like it. It really does make a good modern day still life! The lighting and post processing gives it a great look.

Excellent still life with a great monochromatic feeling and a composition that is nicely balanced, yet interesting because of the light and metallic tones.

Very nice editing. I especially like the specular highlights and reflections. If I were to change anything it would be to brighten the highlights on the coffeee machine so that it stood out more.
