Taken after sunset, the only light was the quickly departing sun and the moon which had risen only an hour or two earlier.

A 30 sec exposure with a wide angle. The passing clouds gave a nice effect around the moon, and made the sky look silky.

Post-vote comments: I now know how I missed this one. The horizon is slightly off (exaggerated by the odd-angle spit of land). Plus, I had the grad ND filter aligned wrong (I missed the horizon!) Oh well, there's always next time.

i like how the clouds make the moon very diffused , did you use a polarizing filter? it looks like the lighthouse gets darker about halfway up.

Very nice composition, the lighthouse balances very nicely with the slightly obscured moon. I'm not sure about the gradient through the lighthouse though. I'd rather not see it, but it doesn't spoil the photo.

The grass looks incredibly well lit for being a moonlight shot...to me, it sort of doesn't fit with the rest of the photo. I really like the sky, with sort of a haze over the moon.

Great potential in this shot. IMHO the horizon should be level and the sky a bit more contrasty with a darker overall tone. I really like the appearance of the moon with the streaked clouds obscuring detail.
In general, just some minor adjustments would make this a winner.

I like it alot, but I think on a duplicated layer you could of erased the gradient over the lighthouse itself, and gave it more "wow". Either way, good, good. 9.

The light house is straight, but the horizon is tilted just enough to make the viewer fill kinda waysided.

I have a pet peeve about tilted horizons. My problem really, but it cost you a point or two on this fine photo.

I think the sky is the best part of this image. Good job.

I'm distracted by the crooked horizon even though the rest of the image is captivating.
