 Day 23 is another "Macro" up very close of the flowering seed pod, of a "Cycad" plant. It has the most amazing textures & colors, and those thorn really are sharp.
Cycads are some of the oldest plants found on earth.

unbelieveable...almost looks like a microscope image...wow...great colour and comp...I wonder what the girl would be like with a 150mm macro!!!! This series is one of your very best Sherryl!

I like this. You have a real gift for photographing plants. This macro has great lines, texture, and color. Nice work and great eye for spotting it.

That is glorious. Some macros work and some are so so - but this is killer. I'm not patronizing you either. I think it's terrific. It'd make a cool poster or huge print in a contemporary living room!!
