Showing hands cutting the cheese promotes this image from a still life to an action photo. Using a clear glass casserole lets us see the carefully stacked ingredients inside. A wooden pepper grinder would have been a bit more classy, and the plastic thing to the left of the casserole doesn't seem to fit. And I don't like the frame at all. But overall a good photo.

Can I have the recipe for that. Looks great and my favorite cheese. Good composition, but the spots on the tomatoes take away from the picture. I think also that a different color for the counter (I know you can't change it) would have helped. Maybe put something down so it was a little lighter background. I do like the picture though.

This is a lovely setup; I wish it had been cropped a bit more tightly vertically, as I find the shape beyond the edge of the counter very distracting - my eyes come back to it as least as often as your main subjects, despite the way the color tends to encourage me to look at them. I'm looking forward to seeing the recipe; it certainly makes an attractive dish, from what we can see here!

I've never eaten this, but it sounds really good. Like a mix of italian and french cuisine... And the pic is very nice too. It's a good idea to show the hands which are making it ! Good job

Good photo and light. The the black of the table makes the colors look good.

This looks delicious even before it's cooked, I can't wait for this recipe! The light is well done the the cropping could have been just a tad tighter on the right. The little blue glass figure is a bit of a distraction. I like this shot but am starting it at a6 but I'll be back to look some more and possibly bump it up

Yummy! There are some extraneous elements in the picture that shouln't have been included. The blue stuff in the u r corner, the white thing near the hand, and the pepper shaker. Just the hands cutting the cheese, the lovely tomatoes and the assembled dish would have been plenty to include.

Oh yeah... gets my 10. The red border was a VERY good thing to do.. put a wrapper on it all. Use of lighting was extremely good. The offsetting blue really works out. One of the best compositions I've seen yet. You're a pro, huh ?

Love to see what it looks like done! Nice color contrasts, I like the fact that this is taken in process rather than after - it gives the image more energy, more of a story. The lighting works well and the important areas look to be in focus. I am distracted by the red border - I find it pulls my eyes away instead of inward. 7

I like how each item on the countertop seems to have a spotlight on it. Looks very appetizing. Not too sure about the color of the frame, but otherwise a pretty good shot. Can't wait to see the receipe.
