Small Orbiting Active Planetoid --> S.O.A.P.

Ohh.... I hope I don't regret this entry!! It's a little far out. :)

Used girly, round soap (slightly used) on a black background. Used a battery powered fiber optic light and a small LED flashlight to light up one side.

Took photo in dark bathroom, 4 second exposure. Exposed soap with LED flashlight then ran fiber optic light around the soap.

In Photoshop.... Noise Ninja, cropped, sharpened a little, added layers with color and light adjustments, cloned out some dust, dodged and burned, flattened, saved for web.

This is a great shot. Apparently, the feeling was typical. I am curious about the color. My experience with LED flashlights is that they are very blue white. In any event, your soap reminds me of images of Jupiter. You must have been very busy in that 4 seconds.

I am not at all surprised that it was published. It is wonderful.

Thanks for all of your nice comments!! My second best finish so far!

I am thrilled you like this photo. It was scary for me to submit and it shows that sometimes you can do something out of the ordinary with positive results.

Mick, you gotta vote more often! ;)

Sadly, my planetoid lost most of it's mass and became the victim of a black hole! :D Yuk Yuk! :b

This is so far out of the box that you can't even see it in the rearview mirror! Way to be different with style Robin!

Now I wish I had voted in this challenge. I could have given you another 10. :D

Very, very, cool. This one has a "how'd they do that" written all over it. I'm pretty sure I know about the light, but I'm curious about the planet. It kind of looks like a melon. 10.
