David, I'm one that reeeeally feels your disappointment. The same thing happened to me on a photo that made people wonder why it got DQ'd!
This is such a gorgeous photo! I'll always see it with a blue ribbon under it!

| I'm really drawn into this picture. I'd say the horizon looks crooked but the point of entry for the front two posts is dead on, so this works for me. The lighting is stunning, too. In my top 10. |
