I always wanted to try a composition using wine glasses. This is my first attempt. I don't expect the score to be high, but I am hoping for some helpful comments. Used black and white setting, manual program, manual focus. Put a checkered bag behind glasses, and lined them up in a row. Overhead light was used and some natural light. Put mirror under entire composition. Post processing, adjusted levels then dodged background, adjusted brightness and contrast, dodged and burned glasses, resized, spot removed noise on highlights, sharpened.
Then created another layer with very dark details, and overlayed the lighter image over it. Began erasing at around 30% transparency which gave more detail to the blown out highlights created with the lighter image.

The main focus is on the squares at the back. For this kind of shot to work the main focus has to be on the front glass..... |

Classic black and white creates a nice optical illusion, very interesting to look at. |

Cool composition! There are a couple of distracting spots on some squares and some wiggle on the left; to me this is screaming symmetry so any deviation from that jumps right out. |
