Thanks for the comments everyone!
This was done using a small Maglight stuffed into a shot glass, shining out the thick glass at the bottom. The blues were boosted just a bit to get the light to be more blue than yellow. Thats it! Oh,,,and then shoot it twenty million times until my focus was just right! |

| uh oh - this one is goin to suffer on darker monitors. At first all I noticed was his nose, now I can sort of see his arms. Dark photos rarely get the score they deserve because of the variation in equipment. |

| This image stands out for me. The reason it stands out has to do with the mans nose being the only part of him that is lit. The vortex, to me, is a neutral entity in the image, while the man adds a powerful dynamic, both in silhouette and in a tiny part of him being lit. Very interesting image, I like it! |
