The lack of focus in this picture doesn't work well. I don't find his expression to be humourous, only kinda goofy. While cropping the picture down may have been done for compositional effect, putting his eye right in the middle makes him look like a cyclops.

I think that if there had been better focus, and a little different composition and expression on his face, this would have been a great shot.

Looks like either he moved or you moved the camera. Too bad I like the crop.

The blur on this pic will bring its score way down. But apart from the blur I would also recommend increasing the contrast a bit so as to make your dark areas blacker and your light areas whiter.

it is blurry. next time, try to get the eye in focus, it will make the picture stand out more
