 I went to this site a few days earlier and got some OK shots. I came back after it rained, knowing the puddle that was there earlier would have gotten bigger.

I straightened, cropped, grayscaled, adjusted levels in a few different layers, flattened and saved for web.

I've never really shot for black and white. I usually shoot for color, and if it so happens to look good in black and white, then it does. So this was kind of a new experience for me...i hope it does ok.

I love this picture. I got stopped at the stop sign nearby and I couldn't help but look around at this spot. I almost got out and took a picture myself, but someone pulled up beind me and I figured I shouldn't block traffic to copy your shot!

This image gives a real sense of atmosphere. That earie, quiet, abandoned feeling which is also kind of calming. Well composed and exposed too. Good luck.

so far my pick of the challenge. Awesome composition and overall feel. Too bad you didn't knock out that sensor dust in the sky... IMO that's the only thing holding this back. good luck. 8
