Not happy with the flash level in the shade, but the pose was perfect.

If the flash in the shade had blasted off, then the 'short-circuit look' would have been perceivable. It needed that electrical flash which you could only get via the slave unit or by using fireworks.. ;-)

I think this is a great idea, a blue glow in the shade, and some smoke comming from the top would have done it for me, great idea.

i think this might be great. is the light supposed to be on in the lampshade? perhaps if the main light was not so bright.

This is a fun picture and it's well done. I think the only way it could be improved (slightly) is if there were a little less light on her dress/body so that the lamp and lampshade were emphasized more.

Cute idea! Very original. It would have been so cute if you could have had light coming from inside the lamp shade! I think that's what this shot is missing.
