| In a perfect world a beautiful portrait like this would win a ribbon - but here at DPC I'm not so sure. One of the best pet photos I've seen in a long time but I'm not so sure that good composition, emotion and great lighting are enough for some people when there are domestic animals involved. |

| This is a great photo I love the background color, it makes the dogs spots stand out. Maybe though not using the border would have been an idea. |

| Beautiful dog - the lighting is just a bit strong over the left eye and the far side of the snout. I like the composition - and good work keeping this sweeties attention |
