 Too much time on my hands this week. I painted the checkerboard pattern on a piece of posterboard. Then I spent an entire morning photographing an assortment of things on the checkerboard. The hanging pear is an homage to Dali. My original intent was to do a surrealistic Dali knockoff, but then I found out how hard it is to do Dali well, and went with something simpler.

Very little editing. Conversion from raw (color temp, levels, contrast, saturation), slight rotate and crop, and a tiny bit of sharpening. All the magic happened with the lighting.

Looks inspired by Magritte. I think the glass throws things off somehow, but you might be right by having something fill that space. Maybe a standing banana? Great concept, hope it does well.

nice shot, but does it have something to do with perspective? i will pretend it does, ok?

very random, but also very interesting, and surreal looking, nice. had to pause and ponder this one. The only thing that bothers me is that the "tiles" have a do-it-yourself-in-a-rush look to them.

Instead of a "wing and a prayer", it's a "string and a pear".

I think I would prefer the glass not to be in the photo. Otherwise, the fruit lends a delicate colouring to the image. 7.
