 Tone Mapped from a single RAW exposure, exported to PM7

Select sky and save selection. Separate levels adjustments sky and foreground. Hue/Sat on fore to tone down red. Hue/Sat and Selective Color on sky to clean up some dirty bright tones around where the sun is, and to introduce a little more blue into the bright sky.

Dodging on foreground and house to snap them up a little in the dark areas.

High Pass filter to crisp it all up a little.

Lay in text layer.

Resize, USM, save for web

what is that tiny spec of black on the sky?
besides that tiny thing, everything else is great.

This is a beautiful sunset, but there is not enough contrast between the sky, water, and ground, and the little house almost disappears. In my opinion a little difference would make this awesome.

Love the tones you employed here. This must be one of the nicest times of year to explore the seashore with its golden and rust hues. Oh, and not tons of tourist to contend with. What an amazing sky. I'm sure this will do very well.

That's quite the sky with the rolling waves of cloud, the colors are awesome. Good choice going big with the sky here. Much more subtle than the others with the postcard look, but it really fits this scene well and looks good. Well done!

Wonderful color tones here in this photograph. Very nice indeed. Certainly is a photo that can stand on it's own merit. I could see this in a local tourist shop for sure, both as a postcard AND a poster! :D Best of luck to you in the challenge.
