Very good shot; very good for the theme. Might have been good to have the photo frame face up, so you could see it better, perhaps with the person obscured so as not to distract. (It took me a bit to notice it here.) |

Thanks Simon and Gary! Actually, the way I saw the photo originally was to have more of the room but I didn't feel like moving the bed in the hallway!!! :o) |

Man 45th place sux, this photo should have easily been in the top 5 photos. Not only does it depict "all alone" wonderfully, it is technically a spot on pic. Congrats to you Yanik, for me this should have been way up there, sheeesh! |

Like it! Like it a lot! And who's the nice young lady...? ;-) I like the ageing effect on this - can't remember the flashy name for it but I likes it anyway! |

Good evocative image. I like the warm sepia tones and the perspective. Pose of the model really enhances the feeling of solitude and loneliness. Lighting is excellent. 8 |

some more of the empty room would have made it stronger. |

Emotion is evident. Could that be a Bible in her hand? Artsy-good. |

Love the coloring of this shot, also like how the angle of the baseboards leads your eye to the center, nice work! 10. |

A technically excellent picture, but I'm not sure about the angle. Looking down on her doesn't feel right somehow. |

Would a pose like this be more powerful if you either came closer and showed us more of her face, or backed away and made her look smaller? |

Ahh, teensy prob....her head got down so low that her hair went across her face and she appears to be smiling....I guess when can be happy and alone, but the stakness of the scene would suggest otherwise. well shot. |

Beautiful pic! I wish I could read more out of it. She is holding a picture and something wrapped in a sheet. A baby? Maybe the mystery of this photo makes it all that more exciting to me - 10 |

The Cars - Who's going to drive you home tonight. Reminds me of that excellent video. Wonderful photo, both technically and subject. The photo frame, without even knowing what it shows, adds so much extra meaning to this. Excellent work, very excellent work :) Hope this makes a ribbon, if it doesn't then it should come very close :) |
