Nice image, I like the duo-tone look. Great use of space, very alone feeling. Child's posture helps convey the feeling well. With the title, I'm wondering if this would have a greater impact if a playground/schoolyard scene was in the background. Just a thought. 7

hmmm. "The new kid" title might have gone well with a group of children behind the subject out of the focal plane. However, this is a strong representation of alone in the image itself. Interesting composition, lines, textures.

I like the desaturation of the colors. The red shirt really stands out. Nice composition and nice interpretation of the challenge.

the shirt works really well - making him stand out from the background, though the rest of the colours seem strangely unnatural.

this does a good job of meeting the theme - although i am not too impressed with the photo itself. i think ts the foreground

The desaturation of the colors really makes the boy stand out. Nice composition and use of negative space.
