Well technically War on Drugs started in 1980, but Reagan signed the bill to give murderous drug traffickers the death penalty in accordance with the war on drugs...

Okay, so I definitely wanted to shoot something somewhat humerous, since those shots seem to do the best. Naturally the war on drugs is a pretty funny issue because it's parodied all the time. I wanted to have something innocent to contrast with the drugs, but unfortunately I don't have any babies to exploit :(
Next best thing's a teddy bear I guess, especially one I got when I was born. Next step was the setup, which is very boring b/c I procrastinated...again. Originally I was going to use a cigarrette, but then I realized those aren't illegal (duh). So I ripped it up and made it look like a little joint, sewed Teddy's paw to his face (poor Teddy) pinned on the "joint", set the timer, and lit it right before the timer went off. This could either get a really high score or a really low one, I guess it depends on people's sense of humor :)

P.S. I've never smoked and I never will, very bad. KIDS! Don't do this! Remember D.A.R.E!

clever. maybe next time you can have the cigarrette smoke not go just straight up-have a fan blow it.

The smoke shows up well - but the innocence of the stuffed bear and the smoking joint don't quite fit for me with this title. 4

WHAT is that bear smoking?! Isn't there a law against corrupting the morals of a stuffed animal? Ahem. OK, as for the pic, I'd crop more off the left and get the smoke to drift over towards the right instead of going straight up. Were I to take such a picture ;-)

He looks like a teddy with an attitude.. nice capture of smoke.. the backgorund should have been darker.. would have created better contrast and the smoke would have stood out more..
