Stumbled across your page and saw you asked for comments so I thought I would throw you one. I saw this photo and I think it is much better than it scored. Haha, who am I to disagree with popular opinion though. I am partial to black and white and I am partial to street scenes, maybe that is why I like it. One thing I do not like though are the buildings on the left side of the picture. They are at an odd angle that is distracting. Unfortunately it would be hard to to crop them because you would almost have to crop something from the top or the bottom of the picture too, or it would have a funky height to width ratio. I really like the DOF. In fact I like the fact that the whole guitar is not in focus. I love the lighting. I think that maybe this image suffered in voting because it was in a free study with so many other great photographs.

Love it. Vrey nicely done - I like that he's looking off to the side and away, almost apprehensive. The two women walking away in the distance - they probably walked right past him and didn't pause or look. Light is excellent; B&W suits it well.

I like this shot. A proper eye-contact might have lifted it even higher.

this portrait is framed so nicely. i just wish the white of his shirt was popping just a little more, and that his hat didn't get lost in the tree limbs.

Fun portrait, would have been much improved if the subject was looking at the camera and a bit more depth to get the guitar sharp.. Average rating.
