 Going for simplicity here- a white colored pencil on a few sheets of white paper, lighting from a desk lamp. I recently bought some inexpensive lenses for my camera on ebay and this was my first experiment with the macro. Took several shots and I liked this one the best- had some fun detail in the wood of the pencil and I liked the way the diagonal edges of the sheets of paper contributed to the composition.

Nice composition with crossing diagonal line. IMO, a sharper focus on the pencil point may have made for a stronger presentation.

the lines on the background are a bit off putting but the idea and focus on the end of the pencil is very good

great title - the image is attrative and commercial looking - if it's a commercial for a pencil ...

IMO this would be stronger if the tip was sharper(focus wise) as this is a controlled image this could be done.
