Thanks to my flatmate Davide for helping me with the composition and pushing the shutter release :)

D'oh! I just realized that my picture's pretty much straight from one of the challenge description examples... Well, at least it's not DNMC.

I'm well satisfied with the negligible amount of noise at ISO 1600.

My fiance just bought an Emperor Scorpion. I should show her this image :) Nice shot.

Gotta be looking out for those scorpios!

Since the sting is the vital part it would have been better to see it in focus. Also, the legs look very stiff and straight and therefore as if the scorpion is dead. It might also have been good to put the persons's face out of focus in order to focus attention on the scorpion. Good famous last words, though.6

Maybe just a bit overexposed, but a nice clear shot

I like it! Have you heard the old fable about the frog and the scorpion? I'm thinking you might know that one!

good shot and lighting; you forgot about the chair in the upper right and the image would have been stronger if you managed to get a perfect symmetry on the left and right sides. 8

Very good but would've been better to see a live scorpion in there.
