hahhaha...Jason! That isn't why, silly. Your photos just rock!
I think I will get rid of the black mound in the corner. I left it there to represent like a mound of dirt that the tree was sitting on. I guess I was going back to kindergarden when you drew a flower and for some reason it had to be on a mound of green grass.
Oh well, thanks for the comments peeps. |

Ha! Now I see why you were being so nice to me this week! I left such a helpful comment and gave you your highest score and I didn't even know this was yours. :)
Oh yeah, crop a little off the left too, to get rid of that one little black shadow, or you could PS it. |

This is a lovely shot...the shadow and textures are fine. There might be too much black generalized shadow on bottom and left but the length of the stem is important to the composition - a 7 |

Wonderful play of light and shadows. The texture of the background really boots this image toward a top result, I like it! |

very nice, would have cropped a little of the bottom, little disturbing the black in the bottom right corner. Othervice a great composition, detail and color |

The shadow is clearly the subject, but the texture of the background is really interesting too. |

Fantastic texture and colour in the background rock really sets off the shadow - implies the plant is some ancient variety from the time when dinos roamed the earth - or maybe that's just me? I do like diagonal composition with plant rooted in lower right corner. |

SImply beautiful. I could see this as a huge painting on my wall. Only problem I can see is with the crop? I can't see a reason for not cropping the bottom up to the bottom of the stem/branch. 9 |

I like the suble tones of the background and the way the image is composed on it. It reminds me of a fossil plant. |

Beautiful textures, beautiful shadow! I wonder if cropping just a bit tighter would change it much. Love the colours of the stonework. ~8 |
