When I crop up from the bottom, eliminating the from trapezius line dowm, I find a slight enhancement to the portrait.

Her nose cutting across his lips doesn't work, but the overall objective is a good one. Her chin down a bit?

classic greek sort of pose. Would prefer her nose 'behind' his mouth and I think the lighting from the left is casting a bit too much shadow on his chest. Would also be tempted to crop her shoulder out of the frame.
