 Last second shot (as in with 30 minutes before deadline). The reason for the late shot was because I re-read the challenge description and noticed it ask for "celebration of life" and my original shot was just about life in general.

Setup:

The heart is held up by wire hanger that goes goes through a hole in the poster board background. I used two lights for this, i.e. one worklight from above and one I cradled in my arms to light the front, which didn't really do much as the heart is still fairly dark. This shot needed more time and spot editing or cleaner hands (I had been working with dirt shortly before the shot).

I probably should have went with my original entry judging by what did well in this challenge. I gotta remember it's just the challenge title that voters care about not the description.

OK...want to be kind here but there are a couple of distractions...the hair at the base of the wrist, the little bit of grit on the thumbnail...it's a nice image overall, but these things let it down

The color of the heart and background are too similar. I think a white background would have made this a better photo

i like this idea. i would like to see some more contrast or brighter color of the heart. maybe a different background color.
