You know I'm a sucker for black and white photogrphy so of course I love this! Was almost gonna ask why you didn't use coffee beans instead of lentels but beans are beans I suppose. You know me, I'm kinda partial to the coffee bean. Nonetheless, great picture. Makes me want you to photograph me in black and white and...

Mark, GREAT finish in this incredible challenge. The scores were off the chart -- so 23rd place is awesome. This is definitely one of my favorite cat photos ever! CONGRATULATIONS!

| 7 - Poor old Bogart. Could be just a visual thing, but this looks like it needs a nudge up on the right. Like the setup and composition just wish Bogart looked happier and dominated the shot/frame more - and possibly also 'at camera'. |

| This photo is AWESOME!!!!!! I love everything about it! The tail and the paw slung casually over the side of the crate. The crate itself is so nostalgic -- and the cat! Could he BE any cuter of a model. The sharpness is to die for! One of my favorite kitty pictures of all time -- adding it to my favorites 10 |

| Cats will curl up just about anywhere they take a liking too:-) I like the sharp focus and the B&W tones are excellent. But I feel the composition needs tweeking. The jug with the asian characters and the 'rocks' at the foot of the crate really add nothing to your overall composition. They actually take some focus away from your main subject of this photo - Bogart. A square crop that shows us the cat and a portion of the crate would increase this composition's visual impact and appeal. Keep the "Arvada Dairy" in the cropped shot because the viewer will instantly associate the word dairy with milk and because cats stereotypically love milk it is in the crate. This is a good photo with some strong bones. It just needs a little tweeking to bring it out of the good category and into the exceptional category. |
