 This was a backup shot. I had been playing with fire ants all day trying to get a shot of one of them on top of a dirt hill so I could title it "King of the Hill" but all they wanted to do was bury themselves underground or run around quicky so I nixed that idea since it wasn't working and I didn't want to go the freeze route.

As for this shot, it's pretty simple. This was shot on my desk in a small glass tank that I filled with dirt. The shot is straight on through the glass. Having the foreground OOF is new to me as I normally don't care for it but here I thought it worked well.

Nice photo, i think its a little dull colour wise, the out of focus area in the right hand corner distracts from the plant in my opinion!
