 I had quite a time trying to get my cat to sit still for me...She likes to pretend that the camera is something disgusting, and usually stalks off whenever I get near her with it. :)

The pose or look you've captured draws me in...
I love the composition. It appears slightly too contrasty for my taste but actually works well for this b&w study. A fine capture and Hazel's quite the cat! (Your description of her reminds me of my cat, Abby.)

I am not a huge fan of cats, but the look in ones eyes has always fascinated me. They always seem to know more...with having said that this photo depicts that very well, which is why I'm voting this high. GL.

Nice standpoint but picture is a bit "hard" I mean too contrasty imo..

What sad eyes. I love this shot and the b/w makes it even more interesting with the lighting. One of my favorites of this challenge so far.

8 - Very nice portrait. The ear chopped.. undecided.. obviously works as is, but.. maybe if it were there this might be even better, your call anyway, obviously. Very nice capture, including character.
