he does not stay very much in, most of the time he wanders around. i got him resting on top of a wall, a very rare phenomenon since he hardly ever stands still (-:

5 - Nice concept and composition. Just wish 'red' was 'bigger' within the frame and more light on him/her. Perhaps also a cropping out of the hill/something rear left, but fairly minor.

Neat capture and shot!

The expression is this photo! Like the placement and proportions of the surrounding space.

Subject is too far away for the viewer to fully appreciate that annoyed stare on the cat's face. You have way too much negative space that does nothing for the overall composition. The cat is literally swimming in this space. A closer crop or zoom on the cat will greatly increase the visual impact and appeal. As I said, it appears that he/she has an annoyed expression but we don't get to see it clearly for the focus is not squarely on the cat. Show us that expression bring us closer.

wish you'd cropped to just the cat's face ... I want to see more details

I think a tighter crop would have been nice. This submission is still effective however.

Nice lighting, composition.

I think for a portrait, the subject should take up most of the frame. There are too many distracting elements and not enough of the cat for me.

that is one great expression on the cat
