those two bars where the support of a alogen lamp. i know they are a little bit distracting, but what i was to communicate was a sensation of intimity, a sort of spontaneous situation.. the truth is that i've tryied to remake this photography:

Real Pearl

that i've made just 2 days before the opening of the contest :( i think the original one have and intensity and color wonderful so i've tryied to recreate it but it hasn't worked :(

i would very appreciate the comment on the original one by the people who didn't like the remake.. what do you think about it?

p.s.: this was my first partecipation to a photo challenge in all my life(in fact i've got my reflex less than a months..)! thanks for everyone who give my high votes and who has posted comments.. i really need them!

bye

I love cinnamon hues. you foil them nicely with the green and include a stunning compositional element with those diagonal lines. 10

This is interesting...what are the lines in front of the cat? Normally I wouldn't like that at all, but somehow they seem to go with the cat. Good!

7 - Nice. Nice colors and capture. Don't mind the effect created by the object in the foreground. Perhaps the other eye more visible, as the outline of it is there yet no color appearing and just a little sharper too. Perhaps also, the book/whatever Pearl is sitting on, a tighter crop to eliminate that a little more or else 'use' it more, may have also given this an edge.

I like the depth of field, but the parellel lines/bars in front of Pearl's face are somewhat distracting.

The lighting is nice. The pose is fine. The two diagonal lines are distracting, and take away from the overall effect.

Two diagonal/horizontal sticks distracting. Other than that, nice pic.

I can't tell what those two sticks are... or why they are there.

The two sticks, or boards, or whatever they are distract my view of a beautiful cat.

The lines are very distracting.

Love the cat, but the lines in front take awy from the overall composition.

I'm thinking how great this shot would have been without the two rods in the foreground.
