 A rare winter sunset. We don't often see them so colourful at this time of year in our area. The day had been very cloudy and began to clear in mid-afternoon. I knew there was going to be something spectacular, so I was ready to drive out into farm country with camera and tripod.

I had about an hour of skies like this. I am continually awed by the incredible beauty of our planet, and the wonderful opportunities we get to record it and pay it tribute.

No matter how this image places, I feel so lucky to have witnessed this glorious event.

Beautiful sky indeed... Wow, and so this is just 1/30 of a second out of the 3,600 seconds you enjoyed that afternoon... How many more pics did you get?

The clouds really create a lot of depth in this composition, balanced nicely with the silhouette of trees.

Great shot - nice colors and cloud formation. There is someething one the let side of the shot that I am sure was in the sky. But it sticks out like s sore thumb and looks more like a scratch. I wish you had removed it.
