Now, THAT's a different interpretation of "sky" :-) Such a lovely image... |

Great concept and composition! But I find the color-noise very distracting (the mottled cyan/magenta stuff). You should try Noise Ninja or Neatimage, although it gets overused a lot, for an image like this it can do wonders. Or you could just convert the image to B&W and pretend the noise is a deliberate grainy effect ;-) |

I LOVE this photo! I love the mystical feel of the fog, and the feel of that minimalistic line of ducks! One of my favorites in a truly aMAZING challenge! 10 |

great pic, a little smoothing and noise reduction as well as selectively removal of magenta and red will really clean this up great. |

Love the simplicity and beauty of this...especially in the way the sky and water are one. |

Perhaps a slightly higher contrast would benefit the photo but it is nice as is. |

I like this one so much, but I've got to stretch to get it on track with the challenge! Does the lack of sky here make the sky a critical element?!
:: sigh ::
Really nice image, falls shot of the prerequisite (IMHO), but I CAN make a connection & feel like I do get some sense for the sky -- alright I'll give it a 7. |

Well... I am trying to be open minded here, but this does not really say "sky" to me. I like the concept... just there's nothing to tell me this isn't just water. Maybe if it were blue instead of black and white - the sky would still blend into the water but at least there would be more for my mind to say "oh that is sky".
In my mind, I totally get what you're going for, and I love the concept and the creativity here - but at the same time, my eye does not see anything like sky (as I said, I really think blue would have helped). Because of the dual way I'm looking at this, I am not going to give you a low, DNMC score, but I think I will not score it as high as I would have in, say, a free study. |
