What a great shot this is.
01/03/2005 06:53:45 PM
and how did u get those foreround shadows>???
01/03/2005 06:22:35 PM
just a fantastic picture, just one question, where was your light coming from
09/21/2004 04:40:28 PM
this proves that it takes as much ingenuity and creativity to be a great photographer as it does technical know-how.
09/21/2004 01:48:17 PM
This is just uncanny. An image that projects past its confinement into the realm of emotions. It takes but a moment to digest its hidden beauty.
05/17/2004 10:57:48 AM
very clever! how did you ever come up with that?
02/17/2004 10:20:11 PM
Compelled me emotionally first time I saw this. I was truly captivated by the simplicity of your model and then by how it drew me into the shadows. Speaks volumes. Great job!

Didn't know the rules when I made my post.....You couldn't remove the foreground shadows, against the rules.

My Bad!

Nice pic, and just reminds me how you don't always need to obsess over the details to have an excellent pic.

I love this image, but either you made a huge (in my mind) technical mistake, or I'm missing the point:

The shadows being present signify that even though they are gone, they are still in our hearts and minds, and cannot be removed which is signified by the beacon.

Very cool, but should their be shadows of the twin towers in the foreground? Seems like a significant mistake.

Very clever. Impressed at the image once viewed close but was drawn in by the concept at the thumbnail.
11/05/2003 08:49:39 PM
I'd buy this print if it didn't turn out to be too expensive - just wondering if you'd thought of selling prints at all. Very creative.

Very AWESOME shot! This should have been in first place for your imaginative way of creating the skyline. Great shot... Congrats!
11/03/2003 05:49:38 PM
Very cool shot, as I mentioned before -- congrats on the ribbon; it's very well deserved!
11/03/2003 02:20:27 PM
Excellently creative shot - has to be one of those blinding flash of inspiration moments, huh? My only gripe would be about the reflections from the table causing the secondary shadows, but it doesn't seem to have hurt your score too much.
11/03/2003 07:53:09 AM
wow. that's incredibly creative. i cant wait to hear how you did it! Bravo and Congrats!
11/03/2003 02:38:06 AM

This is an amazing idea...and very well done!
11/02/2003 09:51:06 PM
what a great idea and tribute. Like to see you redo it with studio set up. Something under the buildings other that a table, etc. I think that would give it much more impact. Like the laser light...nice touch
11/02/2003 05:16:23 PM
WOW!!! That is very cool, and a super idea... a winner in my book.....10

This is an AWESOME photo and a GREAT idea!
10/29/2003 12:02:20 PM
Wonderful photo and clever idea. The laser pointer is a very nice touch. Seem a bit off compositionally but I can see how you you were trying to include the shadows of the sky line on the left. - 8
10/29/2003 11:09:06 AM
A cool concept, but I am tired of the whole 9/11 thing by now. Nice touch with the laser pointer(?) though. (5)
10/28/2003 10:45:02 PM
Very Clever shot and use of light. I gave it a 7.
10/28/2003 07:36:00 PM
9. What a wonderfully creative setup. I really like this.
10/28/2003 02:52:28 PM
What an brilliant idea, the only thing that could be better is the "ground" perhaps black would have been better.
10/28/2003 01:32:26 PM
God Bless America!!
10/28/2003 09:27:42 AM
Extremely clever and wonderful. Hopefully you won't be hit to hard for 9-11 theme. Great job.
10/27/2003 11:20:38 PM
You set this up wonderfully. I would like the whole image to be lighter.
10/27/2003 11:05:04 PM
This took a lot of thought. Very creative.
10/27/2003 09:24:07 PM
Clever and sad. I wouldn't have thought that outside the box and I love it. There's only one detail and it doesn't necessarily bother me so much as it is just there. I can see reflections of the red point on the other "buildings". Over all, impressive shot.
10/27/2003 08:31:25 PM
outstanding! i love this! It looks like it was fun to set up. I've shown it to everyone in my office already, and I've been looking at pictures to see if it's as accurate as I think it is. just wonderful.
10/27/2003 08:28:46 PM
Very creative idea and nice execution :) The red dot adds that special element to this photo...
10/27/2003 06:29:58 PM
Extremely Creative!
10/27/2003 03:46:57 PM
It takes a second look to realize that this "cityscape" is really nothing but staples. This would be an interesting shot even without the red light at the top, but it is intriguing. How do you do that?
10/27/2003 03:34:59 PM
I had to do a double take on this one. Those are staples aren't there? ;) Very well done and a nice concept too. Never forget.
10/27/2003 01:40:12 PM
Clever setup, nice photo. 8.
10/27/2003 11:29:09 AM
Excellent image. Took me a minute to realize that the buildings were staples. I actually looked at this image skipped to the next one and then was like, wait a minute. I went back and then saw that it was the twin towers but they weren't with the main part of the city. I think the only reason it eventually caught my attention was the red light. I like the composition and both the shadows and the reflections really add to the image. It is a very different but pleasing way to show tribute to 9/11. Nice work.
10/27/2003 10:48:11 AM
What an interesting setup! Very impressive, and certainly one of the most creative uses of office supplies I have seen in a long time :) - 9
10/27/2003 10:05:33 AM
This is amazing, i bet it took a long time to get it right and it looks perfect.
10/27/2003 09:48:58 AM
OOOOooooh my gosh what a clever, unique idea. Staples right?!!! Outstanding. Must of take a long time to set up. Great going. The laser light is such a good touch.
WOW. I am in awe!
10/27/2003 08:32:28 AM
Somebody has too much free time! :) Incredibly creative shot!! I like the laser pointer idea too... Nice job!
10/27/2003 02:31:03 AM
Spotted the intention immediately, but took me a moment to realise what you used to achieve it. Clever idea :)
10/27/2003 01:32:55 AM
You put alot of work in this:) Very original idea. Good luck.8

great idea here. very imaginative. the shadows to the front of the staples could have been used more effectively, though
10/27/2003 12:20:22 AM
very creative and the red lazer adds to it. the lighter shadows are not too appeling and distrat from the image
