 My enthusiasm has been low all month, so I didn't shoot anything for the challenges this week. I did have this semi-decent shot of an otter though, so I'll submit it in case my WPL team needs a 4th score. I don't expect it to reach my average, but who knows.

Processing: Convert from RAW, Channel Mixer (for saturation), USM, Photo Filter Orange> Fade, Photo Filter Sepia> Fade (to knock down the blue cast), HSL, Levels, Curves (for contrast).

WOW! What a surprise! I went from "This probably won't reach my average," to a 6.6 throughout the week to a 5th place finish. Then, two shots in front of me get DQ'd... resulting in an otter-matic ribbon. W00T!

What the heck happened, I didn´t know otters could do the magical bunny hop and jump up two places :P

Congrats mate, that means you are currently in 1st place for ribbons this year but don´t get to comfortable, as fences and centered composition are the last two challenges posted in 2006 that are still open I plan to get a ribbon in one of them and dethrone you!!!

I sure hope you don't win the brown (ribbon) any time soon because then that means about 100-200 DQ images will have to be made. :P Congrats on your otter pic!

This should have ribboned. It is an excellent capture.

Edit: What happened?! No sooner than I write my comment, than it gets promoted to a ribbon. What a power - I should try commenting ona few of my own submissions! Anyway, well done on the entry.

Excellent shot!!

Hi shannon, congrats on ribbon. Healing 2-3 small stones on the beach of "Browny Morning" take away my ribbon but I am happy that my one of favorite photogrpher gifted honour to ribbon again.
