Cool lighting/coloration on the "white" bear, the nose really stands out. Could you move the cropping down a couple inches, include all of the bear's foot (after all, you got most of it already, ha, ha). 7 Swash |

This is a superb (meet the gang) shot. Composition and lighting are first class and it meets the challenge (just). Gets the ooh vote tooâ€Â¦ |

I like this photo a lot. It looks like it could be in a calendar or something. The only think that could make it slightly better would bet to level off the shelf with the picture. It's only slightly crooked, but with the contrast of the dark blue background to the white shelf, it kind of stands out more than it normally would. I know you were trying to get that white bears foot in there hanging off the edge a bit, but I think that because of the dark background on top, the white background on bottom shouldn't be showing, or should also be dark to enhance the overall balance. I like how the little brown bear just to the left of the white bear is cuddling with the white bear. Really gives the "awwww" feeling. There seems to be another white bear behind and to the right of the centered white bear and they kind of blend in with each other. The other bears are staggered in different colors and I like that, you can individually see each and every bear due to the different colors. Either no bear, or a dark bear would stand out better in place of the white bear in the back. This gives me an extreme sense of "new" and I'm giving it a high rating. More indirectly, the main focus is the white bear, and surrounding him with darker bears adds to the newness of the white bear by making him stand out. He kind of screams I'M NEW LOOK AT ME! And white being a stereotypical "new" color further adds to this. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

I like the way you've placed the pink fuzzy bear among the brown ones. :) |

nice collection of bears :) I think that leveling out the base shelf would be a minor improvement on this one... the pink bear in the middle works very well here :) - jmsetzler |
