Okay, it's not me in the picture, but it's my occupation (English & American Literature) and a self-portrait would have been incredibly difficult.
My first challenge picture with my new 17-55. Let's hope it does well.

Congratulations on your top ten. I love this shot and had it pegged for top 5. Great finish anyway!

Darn! I was hoping this one would get a ribbon! It was certainly one of my top 2! But congratulations on a top 10 finish and an awesome score!

Very fun shot! Face appears to be a little orangy. I hate trying to work with skin tones...

This is definitely one of the better photos in this challenge. Simple, yet captures her "occupation".

The winner!! This one really POPS at me. Hard choice between Smile For Me....and Environmental......but this is super.
only thing I would do, if I knew how, is remove the light catches in the eyes...Love the expression.

Cute, humorous, and studious, good arrangement, lighting, and curious expression, even the clutter work. Love it.

Great shot. Saw another one in the challenge with the same idea, but this one is just so much more vibrant and full of interest. Very well done.

This is nice I like it. Great expression and nice to see all the open books up to ... here... L()L. However, the light in your eyes really distracts me. Maybe if you got rid of the light, or even cut it in half it would balance out more. yet, it is still a wonderful image.

great shot and idea ....
books seem to be weighing you down and giving you no space either, in this photo and possibly in real life? ... expression priceless ...

Excellent! This is great. Good lighting. A little more focus on the eyes would have been great, but still very good. Keep up your studying! I'm taking my last class this coming quarter.

Cheers!

I like this shot. Great idea - love how the books frame your face and the facial expression is perfect. Wee bit grainy but not bad - back to bump you up to 8

nice idea and set up...the technicals on the face (focus and lighting) have let you down :-(...DOF too shallow maybe because of low light? The book edges around the face are crisp and in focus.

I live the quirky smile, well done on a great image...my only neg would be the colour caste, but that's minor...8
