Okay, it took me a few minutes but I get it, lol. Great idea but for a challenge I feel it requires too much thought and time from the viewer to place really well, just my thoughts...Incredibly creative idea!! Way to go!! |

i'd like to see this shot again, but with the bars in the middle of the frame and the salt and battery on either side, like a section cut. it would put us more in a "place" where these 2 elements are interacting. not sure how you'd pull it off, tho. |

I got the title. I also voted this very low.
Things that really held this back were the fact that the reflection of the salt is in sharp focus while the salt is not. Likewise the detail on the surface of the salt is only visible in the reflection. The composition is also a bit awkward. This would be an easy one to accomodate the rule of thirds with by placing the salt chunk on the lower left thirds intersection. I think that would have helped. Placing the battery on the right side of the scene would also help a lot by balancing the photo.
The concept was decent, it just couldn't overcome the technical issues in my mind. Look forward to seeing your skills meet your ideas because I think you will be submitting some great stuff when that happens. |

I was beginning to understand that during the challenge. Narrow point of view on my part. It was a learning experience. Thanks for commenting! |

Since the subject if the challenge is AA batteries, I'd have preferred to have the focus on that. |

Now if you just had a tiny little key to put on that salt... :D This is well done and a neat idea. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

I think the battery should be in sharp focus if it is the subject of the challenge and the photo. |

WOW, now this is a very artsy shot and title! LOVE IT! The focus on the salt and the background blurred battery are actually quite symbolic! Battery fades in the memory, but assault does not. Nice composition and the reflection on the salt piece really drives home the symbolism of this shot. Assault is a reflection on the perpetrator and stays with them forever, but it also remains with the victim. NICE, nice piece! Nice commentary. Clever thinking and photography through and through! 10 in my books!!! |

Hmm, this is kinda cool, but without the title id never think that that would be salt, Its a rock ive seen somewhere i forget the name. Also the subject should be the battery which is very oof and i cant tell what it is, sorry. |
