I'm usually not a fan of over processing, but this works for me. I love it. The only thing I'm not sure about is the busy part of the fence, esp on the left. I love his position, the look on his face, the hands... this is going into my faves. Great job.

Outstanding job on this shot. The post processing on this is fantastic. 9

Wonderful pose and texture. Seems all of the subject remained very clear.
Great work.

I'm not crazy about the effect created here by the post processing. Having said that, I love the subject and composition. The textures are amazing, from his face to his hands to his clothing, there's so much to look at here. I wish there was more separation - visually - between the background and the subject. It's an amazing shot that I think will be punished by your choice of processing. The halo created around his jacket, the duotone appearance, etc.

The treatment is slightly overdone ! I love the expression and pose of the subject, as well as the framing.

Interesting subject and the processing seems to bring out a lot of detail. However, it does seem to be a bit over processed as there is quite a bit of haloing, particularly around the subject's head and right shoulder.

I like the contrasty post-processing that you have done here. It realy suits the mood of the image. I think the chain link fence, though busier than I would normally prefer for a portrait, really works here, too. It all makes such a busy and rough texture that gives the image a kind of grittiness that seems to really go with the subject matter. 7 from me.

I don't much care for the post-processing - far too 'overdone' for my taste. I would love to see it with a more subtle treatment, 'though.

I don't usually leave comments, unless the picture is top class. This is top class. 10

I am not a fan of the effect, but beyond that not sure if the photo can hold it's own as a portrait. Also it is too sharp for this resolution. Below average rating from me.

Great pose and great image. The processing is awsome, but sort of takes away from it just a bit.

A well composed image of a great subject. I love the texture created by your choice of processing, however, the halo around the man detracts somewhat from its effectiveness. I also find the background somewhat distracting - 7.

What a great capture! The slight smile makes this a charming photo. I wonder if voters will be put off by the processing? IMO the processing is perfectly done and makes a very beautiful work of art and powerful image. 10!

What could have been a nice picture was ruined in post processing IMO.

This one grows on me the more I see it, and have just come back and bumped it up already.....Bumping this up as high as I can, so it is now a "10".....
