One of my favourite shots in the challenge.
The one thing I don't quite see is the need for HDR because the light looks quite flat/ even in the scene already - would be interesting if you could post small versions of the 5 shots - it kinda looks like a single exposure would have done, something like the +1 exposure to keep the whites white but not blown out ? I shot a lot of these myself and just adjusted the exposure until the highlights were well captured but not blown and it seems pretty similar, so I'd love to see the difference between the +1 and final shots if you don't mind ?

Nice shot! Understated and effective. Link us to the middle exposure of the original set? I suspect very few people understand how much HDR has added to this shot. |

Congrats! The salt is so white that 'normal' exposure techniques leave it with little or no detail. Your HDR technique rendered it perfectly in balance with the rest of the scene. |

You certainly make it look like it would be well worth the trip! From one who really hates the desert -- I am in awe that you have made barrenness so incredibly beautiful! Congratulations!

A very nice shot, I think I would have liked it better with some object with a different color than white in the foreground to well kindof ground the picture but like I said, a very nice shot and got a 7 from me. |

Lovely location to shoot in. My only issue is with the horizon distortion and the strong horizontal salt line so close to the edge of the frame in the bottom of the scene. Moving that backwards or forwards would have made that bottom shape less static, perhaps. Also the salt edge at the left is quite cramped into the edge of the frame - again more or less space would help with the balance of the shapes. It can also be a really strong idea to find a rhythmic shape in the clouds or hills and try to find something to play off that in the foreground. Works particularly well with such geometric and easily found shapes as presented here. (e.g., the two hills coming down to the valley in the distance and something that reflected or played off that in the salt. |

You need more of a subject to make this pop. The patterns on the ground just aren't quite enough by themselves.

Love it.
Unlike alot of the other entries in this 'expert editing' challenge, this doesn't abuse that liberty.
It's real, it has strength and it's a great shot.
Well done. |

Love the low perspective here - really emphasises the salty texture and strange raised lines. The choice to include only a small slice of background/ sky works well. |

Isn't our beautiful earth and amazing place? Love the way you have all but excluded the horizon...leaving it just a thin strip to take the eye to. |
