thx for all the suggestions and comments... i cant really do too much about focus and dof with this camera (s400) if i had my regular slr im sure it would have turned out better. also i know it is not "still life" but in the topic description it said to be creative in how you interpret still life... so i guess this is my way. |

This image has a lot of depth. The composition is good, but the bright spots in the extreme foreground and on the edge of the blanket are distracting. It's clear from your title you realize this isn't a "still life". |

The in-focus cat is very cute, but the foreground is so far out of focus that it spoile the effect. |

Good colors (as if you had control) but I hate the cat's paw in the foreground. I literally hate it. |

Great composition. Depth of field helps to make this shot interesting. Lighting is really nice. Helps to show the softness of the fur. You can almost feel the fur. I like that this shot was done at the level of the cat. "9" |

Even though the cat is lying still, I don't think it meets the requirements of the "still Life" challenge. |

Sorry for the coment yesterday, really bad day. Focus and exposure are ok, DOF need work, I don't like how the paw looses focus. My biggest problem with it is that it's not a still life. Life sitting still does not equal still life. |

nice shot but I think that it may not fit the challenge. |

Does not meet the challenge. A still life is a picture of an object or group of objects arranged to communicate ideas of color, form, tone, texture and composition. Still lifes are inanimate. |
