My mother has this glass table in her kitchen, and I thought of the idea when I was there last Summer. Visiting for the holidays gave me another opportunity to shoot it. I certainly don't expect a ribbon contender, but maybe it'll make a few people smile. Special thanks to my brother Britton for modeling (he's the one on the right). ;-)
The setup consisted of a single umbrella monolight bounced off a wall behind me to balance the strong background window light. I was standing on a step ladder, and we were using cheese and beef jerky to get the dog's attention. A steak would've been nice for the plate, but I didn't have one handy.
Processing: Convert from RAW, Luko unsharp mask routine, channel mixer for saturation, Noise Ninja, USM, clone out fingerprints on table and a little piece of the center pedestal on the left, dodge the shirt, channel mixer again for B&W conversion, HSL for slight sepia tint. |

This is interesting and quite different. The focus is amazing. It doesn't have the wow factor some might want, but it is very artful and unique. 7 |

Love it! Really good title, gorgeous beastie (the dog I mean), and the invisible line in the gaze between the two is great. Works so well. 9 |
