 Both the movement and the "stuckness" in the composition are intentional - they portray that teenage feeling of needing to be independent, but not quite adult yet - the urge to fly but nowhere to fly to.

Yes - the title comes from a Pink Floyd song, Nobody Home:

I've got a little black book with my poems in.
Got a bag with a toothbrush and a comb in.
When I'm a good dog, they sometimes throw me a bone in.

I got elastic bands keepin my shoes on.
Got those swollen hand blues.
Got thirteen channels of shit on the T.V. to choose from.
I've got electric light.
And I've got second sight.
And amazing powers of observation.
And that is how I know
When I try to get through
On the telephone to you
There'll be nobody home.

I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm.
And the inevitable pinhole burns
All down the front of my favorite satin shirt.
I've got nicotine stains on my fingers.
I've got a silver spoon on a chain.
I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains.

I've got wild staring eyes.
And I've got a strong urge to fly.
But I got nowhere to fly to.
Ooooh, Babe when I pick up the phone

There's still nobody home.

I've got a pair of Gohills boots
and I got fading roots.

a bit too centered. if you cropped almost all the way to the back of the head, the image nearly flies off the page. all the space on the left leaves it feeling kind of stuck.

I like the mood and energy in this.
Thank you for not neat imaging the skin and keeping it real.
Have you tried this in black & white yet? I bet it would be great, and maybe a little off the left side so he isn't dead center in the frame.

Strong photographs speak for themselves and don't need a lot of editorializing through the title, in my opinion. And I do think this is a strong photo.

Beautiful shot and a cool title. I love the movement captured in the hair and the bokeh is lovely too. Great expression. Back to bump you up to 8.
