Ohmygoodness! No wonder its your sanctuary. I want to be there too! This has such a strong impact when it first pops up on your screen. I really love it.

Needs some straightening. I also wonder what this would have looked like had the sun been between the two trees. |

There's a lot to like about this scene, but your composition fell a little short. The centering doesn't work well here - this would have been a good candidate for applying the rule of thirds. Your horizon appears off as well - but again, the centering only accentuates that. Your reds are gorgeous, but I would have pulled more blues out in post to really give it some punch.
It's not a bad photo by any means, but it really could have been a great one with the application of a little theory! I, for one, am someone who regularly fails to compose a scene to it's greatest potential so perhaps I'm punishing the artist for the sins of the viewer... Good luck! << 7 >> |
