It's funny how I really can't put my finger on just exactly what it is about this shot I like so much. I was right about my hunch that the voters wouldn't find enough wow in this to get it up the scale where I thought it should be, but top 1/3 in such a challenge wasn't too bad of a finish, and you just about nailed a perfect bell curve in the vote spread.

Sounds like the title of a Nouvelle Vague film .
I like the sepia tones , the "apparent" simplicity of the composition but I think that nothing is casual here.
