Reflect
This photo is dedicated to Christine (the person in to photo) who was caught up in the Hezbollah uprising between Israel & Lebanon, on her way to meet her son Danny in France. Arriving in Tel-Aviv had time to fill in before her next flight and walked outside the terminal only to be run down by a bus, the same day the uprising started, thrown in air before landing back on the ground striking her head on the ground, causing multiple facial fractures and cracking her scull exposing her brain through the ear.
Danny arrived from France after hearing of the accident, with the Drs; saying they did not give her a chance wishing to turn of the life line as the injuries were serious, Danny immediately said no that his mother was a strong woman, to wait and see.
During the next two days the uprising got worse with the hospital patients, including the critical moved to 5 star hotels as it was believed the hospital would be hit.
Christine’s vital signs started to improve with the Drs; watching the fractures repair and after a month Danny was advised to fly her home while still in an induced state.
Flown to Brisbane Queensland, Australia, was admitted to the Prince Alfred Hospital, and treated by the best in the country.
Christine continued to improve, and at the end of October was able to leave hospital. Coming off a large cattle station, and knowing that it would not be advisable for her to return there, we contacted Danny and said Christine could come and live with us for as long as she liked to continue improving, as we have been close friends of the family for 25 years, they accepted our offer. Danny flew back to France as he had a job to go back to.
This photo was taken 4 week before Christmas, when I took Christine for a short outing to help her orientate back with the outside world, she went home for Christmas being in constant touch with us, still improving by the day, and Danny is coming home this week from France.

The golden-brown hue this has to it is splendid. It gives the whole image such a neat, autumn atmosphere to it. |

sorry, the processing on this just doesn't do anything for me. makes me feel like i'm flipping through a collection of graphic art prints from the twenties. |

Not a big fan in unnatural skys, however this is very nicely done. Having a human in this shot really helps make the picture as beautiful as it is. Good luck in this mega challenge! 7 |

Way too overprocessed for my taste. Great subject/idea though. |

the difference in coloring between the subject and the background is too surreal for me. |

The colours are nice and the exposure seems right however the pier cuts your subjects head off. |

I like the feel of this one...although something in the processing seems to take the subject out of the picture, I think its the strong warm tones that aren't on the subject. |
