 It looks like he's bugling but he's not. I think it was a yawn ;) I took this in Rocky Mountain National Park and left it pretty close to the actual scene. Warmed it up some to compensate for bad light and dodged the background a bit to make him stand out.

I works well that his head happened to have a snow bank behind it so it stands out. I really like the color palette.

While the horizon feels just a tad tilted here, this is a great capture and very sharp. I might consider a warming filter to take the blue cast from the snow. 8

I would have preferred a looser framing, with more of the deer's (elk's?) habitat visible. Nonetheless, a strong entry.
