 Went to Sky High in Mt Dandenong today, highly recommend it to anyone in melbourne. There was a lavender patch, and so i thought I'd try out the new macro lens. First time I've used the macro lens for insect shots. Taken in bright sunlight, so lighting wasn't an issue. Still new to insect photography, so the photo was taken from not from as close as I would have liked, so i needed to crop a bit to get a nicer pic. Next time I hope to be a bit braver and be able to get a full frame picture which i don't need to crop.

PP - probably the least I've done for some time lol
- RAW conversion with +.7 exposure comp
- curves for overall contrast
- selective colour working on yellows to get the bee more as a focus
- DPC resize+sharpen

beautiful soft colors, if resolution is high enough i'd crop a little on the left

I like this. There is enough DOF to pretty much keep the bee in focus. Nice colors, too.
