i cant believe that i had never commented on this photo which was one of my favourites of our dear friend Shez ..
she has been gone a bit over a year now and is very sadly missed ..

This is a very good take on the way these trees look. The sunlight through the hole is a key feature in this too.
We have the same trees here, and call them "strangler figs". Birds drop the seeds on trees where they sometimes sprout, and eventually they kill the host tree. It gives the fig trees a great advantage over trees that have to grow from the ground up to get to the sunlight. |

It's cool how the viewer isn't really sure of scale in many of your images. This could be a vast, immense magical forest or the root system of a bonzai. Great tones & textures. |
