Critique Club review:

Hi Bob it me again,

A bit more than what I comment on before.

First, I love the doe. she has a great expression of being in a nice safe place. I think it meets the challenge and I have many sacred spots like this since I'm a wildlife biologist.

As before, I think your shot need to focus more on the resting deer. By cropping out the interfering tree to the left, you eye is not distracted in anyway. I have no problem with the foreground leaves, they add to the the photo as being a quiet hiding/resting spot.

Your colors and shading are perfect.

I hope this helps a bit and you keep the nice shots comming.

I love this shot, the serinity, the peace the DOF, the light is all wonderful. The only thing I would have doen differently is a slightly tighter crop on the top so the deer was highlighted more. An 8

Nice tones and colors for a sacred mood, and good eye for seeing her!

The foreground elements could provide great framing, but somehow it doesn't work in this shot - the out of focus tree seems to clash with the other trees in the scene, all doing their utmost to detract attention from the deer, which I think was your subject

I think there's a very nice photo hiding in there if you crop in close to just the deer and immediate surround.

Well framed, good DOF. Excellent sharpness and blending of the subject into environment.

wonderful focus on the deer. the rest of the picture is colorful, very organic, frames the subject nicely without distracting. 8

Nice doe, but I would have cropped it vertical to eliminate the close tree, which is distracting the shot.
