 Just before sunrise, leaning out the window of our hotel room - 15ºF cold!- but I kept waiting for the light to come for about 45min. Then an owl swooped silently into view from the night's hunt and golden line appeared on the clouds.

How nice of that bird to pose for you! ;) This is a very pretty shot and the use of negative space is well done on this one because you have the bird in the shot. The clouds on the tips of the mountains is also a good capture bu the color is a bit wanting, it just seems it could pop just a bit more. Also the white border is a bit too big for this shot, Started at a 5 am going to an 7

nice seagull- fantastic horizon - and the large grey area is forgiveable, as is the dark foliage.
