Critic Club review:
First the meets challenge well. Mary is a significant sacred lady of Christian faith and this site maybe used for pray/meditation.
The use of B&W works well on this subject. The light on white marble and shading is very good, and modified by the dark back ground and flowers in the foregraound are nice. The dof is right on.
The main downfall is where she is located on the shot. If you would have moved to the right, you could have removed the vertical wall and she wouldn't be looking off the photo but to the center.
Otherwise this is a great shot and I hope this helps a bit.

| Image has some hot spots at bottom. Good cropping and I like this photo with the subject off-center. Overall good tonal range but perhaps about 1/2 or 1/3 less Stop would have yielded less hot tones. Even stopping down and using a flash might have given good tones without the hot spots on the pedestal and flower blossoms. I do like the image in the window in the BG |

| This is a very nice shot and the off centering of the statue works well in this shot but I would really like to have seen it in color, the black and white version leaves me wanting a bit. Also, maybe just a slightly different angle so the piller on the right wasn't in the shot? A 5 |

Nice B/W shot. The detail in the shadows is a little distracting though.

| the black against white and the white against black works well. wish there was a bit more grays inbetween - perhps a little too contrasty, but that is what you get in bright sun. |
