I read the comments and I can't believe how many people just don't understand that yeah, they might have a good dog, but would they trust it to sit with their camera around it's neck? I don't care how old of a camera it was, I would be very hesitant to put one around my dog's neck.
That's a good puppy... |

Great finish. I noticed you used an old relic of a camera. Do you not trust him with your 30D? :P |

this is NOT my kind of shot, but darn, it's so well done. I give it a 7 (but I don't know if it's going to count... not voting the whole challenge) |

I like the position of the dog and front lighting, I'd like to see more of his rear end lit up & possibly a little less of the wooden floor in the dogs front background. |

Haha, brill!
Gorgeous lighting here.
Without the camera it would have stood out amongst most pet portraits.
With it's pretty funny. |

I really like this photo. The colors are used very well and the key light being off set as it is creates a very nice effect. Some more background light to help offset some of the back of the dog would be nice though. Very well done! |

Nice portrait. The dog looks like a scuplture and has beautiful shine. I don't know, what the Canon has to do with it :) |

This is a really good shot! The pose of the dog is one that personifies loyalty and devotion, exactly what characterizes a "good dog". Technically it is very pleasing also. The DOF is good and the lighting is just right. Having the angle of the light coming from the left and being a single light source adds to the stature of the dog's stance which is a very loyal stance. The only thing bothers me is the dust, or sctratches, or whatever it is on the floor around the dog. But that is me just being nitpicky. Very good idea and execution. :-) |

really like this shot, and pretty much the only pet shot that actually seems to have been conceived with the concept of the challenge in mind. lighting is excellent, the pose of the dog is also very nice conveying a sense of loyalty and readiness to serve. the camera adds a whimsical element. well done - 8. |

love the pose - but the camera around the dog doesn't fit. This would have been a 10 had you simply shot the dog as is without any props. I'm giving it a 9 only due to the camera bugging me |
